Frequently asked questions

Playing with a Luluche

A Luluche is adapted for children as young as 4 years old, who will already have a lot of fun. Around 6 years old and up, children invent stories and scenarios that exploit the possibilities of the Luluche sets more. Finally, it is not uncommon to see 9-10 year olds having fun playing on the play mat.

The issue is being debated. Each family will have to deal with the situation in its own way.

As for me, I've already spent a few hours responding to all sorts of emergency situations: accidents on the expressway, shady business at the docks, robbery at the jewelry store or even dinosaur attacks.

The important thing, I would say, is to know if you prefer to drive a Dodge Charger or a Citronopipo...

The ideal floor to play with a Luluche is a hard floor (tiles, parquet, concrete). A coco or a low pile rug is also suitable. But on a shag carpet, it will be less comfortable to play with.

Luluches are suitable for all classic toy cars in the market.

Children's favorite brands - Hotwheels, Siku, Majorette - are ideal for Luluches. These brands use a more or less common scale. My preference is for Hotwheels, however, whose scale is stable between models. Siku offers a very large catalog of vehicles and accessories but the scale can vary within the same box (nothing to worry about though)

But it doesn't matter what type or brand of vehicles your child has: he will have fun and so will you.

I designed the Luluche play mats based the world of the toy car. But whether it's a Brio train, Legos, toy soldiers or other toys, Luluche always offers a setting for a multitude of new stories.

Only the child's imagination and the pleasure of playing count.

Material and care

Luluches are made of vinyl. Vinyl is PVC, one of the most used materials in our daily life. It is stable, non-flammable and recycles very well. The UV printing process uses water-based inks.

Luluche carpets meet the European regulation EN 71 on the chemical and physical safety of toys. They have been tested by an independent laboratory: they do not contain phthalates or other components that are prohibited or that exceed toy standards.

Luluches are made in Italy, near Treviso. Everything else - design, marketing, packaging, etc. - happens in Vevey (Switzerland), at Studio Luluche.

We recommend rolling your Luluche to store it under a bed, in a closet or behind a door.

Avoid folding your Luluche because the PVC marks where the folds form angles. However, you or your child may occasionally fold or crease the mat. These slight creases usually come out naturally within a few hours.

A Luluche is very easy to maintain. Just vacuum it up and wipe it down with a damp cloth as you would your hard floors. Choose a low suction force with the vacuum cleaner and use mild cleaning products.
