I am often asked about the models of the toy cars that appear in the photos of the site. So in this article I give you my opinion on the best toy cars and where to buy them.
What are the best small cars?
For my part, I remain quite classic by buying the favorite brands of children in terms of toy cars: Hotwheels and Siku especially, Majorette and Matchbox to a lesser extent.
I would say that Hotwheels is in pole position. I find the models to be of excellent quality and the scale is consistent between the vehicles and the different boxes. Hotwheels has a great offering of real cars (Mustang, GT, Corvette, Dodge, etc.) and imaginary vehicles.
The Hotwheels scale is the reference scale when I design a Luluche.
I also buy a lot of vehicles from Siku. Excellent quality and a wide range of models of all kinds: classic cars, emergency vehicles (police, firemen, ambulance, tow trucks, etc.), airplanes and helicopters, but also agricultural vehicles, trucks of all kinds, military vehicles, snow and construction machines. In short! Everything that is possible and imaginable. A small drawback: the scale can vary and even sometimes within the same box.
I buy a little less Matchbox and Majorette. But there are a lot of great models. I find – and this is subjective – that their quality seems to be a bit lower than Hotwheels and Siku.
The last reason why I like these four brands is that the whole range of products is still very good to play with on a Luluche.
What are the models on the pictures?
I give you below some links to buy the models you see on the pictures of the site. I admit that in general I buy on Galaxus: all the brands and all the ranges are available, I have my lists of favourites, it is fast and effective.
I give you the links to Galaxus. I specify that I have no commercial agreement with them. It’s a courtesy and you can buy them elsewhere as well.
